For the first time techniques and sequences of movements of the RYÛKYÛ KOBUDÔ TESSHINKAN style have been documented and released to the public. This style, founded by the “father” of modern KOBUDÔ TAIRA SHINKEN (1897-1970), was inherited by AKAMINE EISUKE (1925-1999). One of his highest-ranked students is TAMAYOSE HIDEMI (born in 1949), who is the chief (KAICHÔ) of the TESSHINKAN KYÔKAI now and the teacher of Frank Pelny. The teaching plates are proofread by TAMAYOSE SHIHAN and they content the know-how of this unique weapon fighting style from Okinawa.
